General Care

In addition to assessing and treating any medical problems your pet may encounter, our Healthcare team offers preventive health care services for family pets. We work closely with pet's family to create a Customized Health Program that helps you to maintain your pet's health and wellness through all stages of his or her life.

What makes our General Care Practice so unique?

Bayview Animal Hospital is proud to be an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). AAHA regularly inspects our hospital to ensure that we comply with the association’s standards for facilities, equipment, and quality procedures.

Dental Hygiene for my Pet?

Yes. It is important. Dental care for dogs and cats is one of the most commonly overlooked areas of pet health care. Poor dental health can be a cause of bad breath, but it doesn’t affect just the mouth. It can lead to more serious health problems such as heart, lung and kidney disease. Providing proper dental care is an important aspect of the overall health of your pet. At your pet’s yearly check-up appointment, we will perform an oral exam and provide you with information about the variety of preventative care and dental procedures we can offer.

Do you have a "Senior Pet"?

Did you know that once our pets mature to the age of 8, that they are now considered a senior and require some special care to help them during their elderly years to maintain a healthy life?

We have introduced a Mature Pet Care Program at Bayview. It's a new way to care for your pets as they age. Medical advancements have enabled us to diagnose potential diseases early on. Some of the most common diseases afflicting older pets include kidney disease, thyroid disease, diabetes, urinary tract infections and liver disease. Detecting diseases early can add years to your pet's life.
